5027 - Amazon deliveries

Here's a post and a string of comments from Nextdoor. Amazon sometimes delivers my neighbors' packages to me and mine to them. I guess Bezos can't afford to pay for good delivery guys.

All these comments were from yesterday. (No this is not Saturday jokes.)

Amazon Deliveries...
We are the first house located in our neighborhood. This afternoon an Amazon delivery driver dumped 6 packages in front of our garage for people located on our street. None of these packages were for us! I did take the time to deliver them to the proper addresses. Thought it would be easier to do that than messing with Amazon. Just wanted to make you aware of this. If you are missing packages it may be because of incidents like this.

Yes, I was just about to make the exact same post! We live off Hawkins-Fuchs, the same thing happened on my street. I tried to call Amazon to report the driver and cannot get through. This is unacceptable.

Wow.... that is Absolutely horrible.... I usually don’t have any issues with Amazon, except one driver dropped off my package at 10pm and hit my fence and broke it..... hit and run.... I called Amazon and they paid for it, but that driver should of lost his job. I know he damaged his truck!

I called amazon once bc I got someone elses package. They told me to keep it. I just wanted amazon to pick it back up and deliver it. The address was not in the neighborhood otherwise I would have delivered it myself.

This same thing happened at my house today. This is bizarre...

We have issues all the time with Amazon delivery drivers. Just tonight, I was suppose to have 2 packages delivered. When I went to check the status, it said they were delivered and put in a safe place. NOPE. There was no picture of proof. As I was getting in my car to drive around and look for them, one of my neighbors was walking it down to me.

I get way too many amazon deliveries.  I checked my ring videos.  All the other drivers, and for some reason we don't get the same ones every day, set the packages down and take their picture.  Every time this guy delivered he tossed them on the porch and no picture.

Happened to us yesterday - I thought it was a mistake but maybe not!

They delivered a package of mine that was a Christmas present for my grandson, to a completely different address in Ohio! Not because it was written wrong on behalf of the sender.

Amazon can't find my address to save their lives.  Always delivered to the wrong address.

When a company treats its employees like shit, they do shit work. Find somebody else to buy from. I haven't ordered anything from Amazon in years.

Infidel753 - I'm not quite there yet. But I do look at other sites, especially the manufacturers' site, to see if I can get a product for near the same cost. A lot of other sites are doing free shipping to compete with Amazon.

Receiving deliveries are a crapshoot around here as well. I often find myself walking packages left at my door to residents in other buildings. Having not read the label first, I once opened a incorrect delivery, and had to attach a note of explanation when I left it at the correct door. One funny incident was when I received a package meant for downstairs under Next Door Neighbor’s unit, was walking it down to her as she was walking up a package intended for me. As we exchanged, thinking out loud, I asked myself, “I wonder what I ordered?”, she replied “Batman stuff”. LOL. Deliveries got so bad that I began directing deliveries to an Amazon locker but, last time I drove though a gauntlet of road closures to get to the locker, the locker was dead, out-of-order ... with my package inside. Not willing to drive all that way for nothing the next day, I let the package go back.

Shirley - I've accidentally opened 'not my' packages also. You look at the stuff and go WTF is this? Luckily (knock on wood), I've always gotten my stuff eventually.

Wow! I've never had any issues where I live, thank goodness, but had no idea things like this were going on, and it sure sounds like a nightmare! Hugs, RO

Wow I haven't heard this, and haven't had any problems myself fortunately
