5032 - Masks and how they work


"Surgical site infection (SSI) continues to be one of the most common postoperative complications. In our previous study, surgical mask (SM) bioburden was identified to be a potential source of SSI. In the present study, we investigated the factors involved in SM bioburden."


So this is an in-depth article, (not THAT long) about masks and what mask does what best. Everyone needs to know as much as possible about masks, right?

What everyone needs to know is to wear them. It is a small imposition, with potentially huge gains (in reducing losses).

When I see someone wearing a mask with their nose sticking out, I get instantly angry. And they always look so doe eyed and stupid.
