58 - South park republicans

I found out that the South Park creators are republicans.

Creator Matt Stone, said: "I hate conservatives, but I really f*****g hate liberals." Well Matty, most people have the opposite opinion these days.

57 - New designation

I think the term "radical right" has become to tame a moniker because of all the venom they've been spewing at the left recently. So we need to come up with some more appropriately endearing terms for them. How about the :

Rancid right
Rabid right
Racist right
Fanatical farts
Revisionist right
Fascist fanatics
Insane intolerant idiots
Deranged dingbats
Maniacal mongers
Hysterical hypocrites
Narrow-minded nasty nuts

This will just be a start. More to come.

56 - Pluto, what is it?

Planets are misnamed. Planet is from Latin meaning ‘to wander’. That would include all celestial bodies floating around out there. So instead of demoting Pluto maybe the scientists should reconsider what the planets should really be called.

Biggest 8 of a bunch of rocks circling the sun.
Round thingies closest to the sun.
Every big round thingy except Pluto.
Non Plutoides.
Great big rocks but not counting not so big rocks.
Twirling round big rocks.
Rotating reflective big rocks.
Orb like spheres with ball shapes and circular appearances. And big.

55 - Bush on leaving Iraq

Bush thinks withdrawing from Iraq would be disastrous. Well here are the things that are disastrous about Iraq. Pretending Iraq was a threat, attacking Iraq, occupying Iraq, and now not leaving Iraq.

The fundamentalist Sunnis were killing the Shiites before we got there. Now the fundamentalist Shiites are killing the Sunnis with our help. And the Shiites are aligned with Iran. Way to go George!

54 - Weight and life span

There were some articles in the newspapers recently that talked about weight vs lifespan. Here's some links to a couple of articles that discuss this in a little more detail.

Scienceblogs is an interesting site to just do some surfing on.

53 - Insurance debit cards that reveal health history

Here's a short piece from an article in Eweek.com. Bigger brother or convenience?

"Patients covered by UnitedHealth Group will soon receive patient identification cards that they can use as debit cards for medical expenses and that doctors can use to access patients' personal health information electronically.

The new cards, which will carry the MasterCard logo, can be swiped like a credit card at a doctors' office or other certified health provider. But in addition to providing payment, the cards can be used to confirm eligibility for services and provide access to personal health information at the point of care."

51 - Quote for all times

"Children today are tyrants. They contradict their parents, gobble their food, and tyrannize their teachers."

This is quote from a famous philosopher. The philosopher? Socrates. The quote is from around 400BC. Your parents befit this quote, you did, your kids did as will their kids. Somethings never change, and never will.

50 - Typing test

Here's a test for anyone. A typing test. It's an old teletype test message that uses all the letters of the alphabet. (I left the numbers out. They're at the end.)

The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dogs back.

Now the fun begins. Have typing races. See who can type the phrase 100 times the fastest with no mistakes! And how long did it take you to verify that all the letters were actually there?

49 - Reading

I love reading. It's one of the most socially acceptable ways to kill time there is. And you get praised for it.

48 - Latest terrorist plot

With the capture of the latest supposed group of terrorists what names come to mind as who's behond the plot? Would they be bin ladin, al queda and hezbollah? How about Bush, Cheney and Rove. Nothing like keeping the threat level high to keep the money rolling in to your political supporters.

47 - 3.4 Mhz food

Remember right after TV came into being that people started eating in their living rooms so they could watch TV and eat at the same time? Thus the TV tray was invented. Well isn't it about time someone invented the computer tray? It should have a keyboard tray and a mouse pad tray. Somebody get on that will you? I'm hungry!

46 - On the road

Was out driving around today. People seemed more aggressive than normal. You would think the high gas prices would have everybody slowing down to conserve. Instead gas prices have pissed everybody off so much they're driving like maniacs.

45 - checking links

I just went through all my posts and checked the links to make sure they all still worked. Well some didn't. Mostly the ones that were pointed to newspapers. So I did some housekeeping. I guess I'll quit linking to newspapers and just print the relevant information and be done with it.

44 - home remodeling

Murphy's law applies double for home remodeling. If anything can go wrong it will. And when you try to fix the mistake something worse will happen.

43 - Time flies

I've been busy the last few days and haven't been keeping up with the news. Everythings rosy right now for me. I guess they called off WWIII. Or maybe not?
