Let's say we build the mexican wall and manage to get all 12 million people back to Mexico. What happens next? The Bush administration has a habit of not thinking about things like this. Well here's what could happen.

The people that are here are the ones that want a better life. So when we send them back to the mexican economy and their substandard life they get pissed. At 12 million strong they form a revolutionary government and take over Mexico. Then they remember how the US took Texas away from them. They attack the Alamo again and reclaim Texas. Which would be OK with me as long as they get Bush too.

News Corp is going to sell 9 of it's TV stations, one of them here in St. Louis (KTVI ch2), for "stratigic" reasons. Here's some corporate speak for you.

- It will be cut loose for "basically strategic reasons".
- St. Louis is a "very strong market, but it was not one that's strategically critical for us".
- KTVI is "a really good station. But we have a lot of stations, and we need to lighten the load".

Oh, and by the way News Corp is launching a takeover bid for Dow Jones & Co., Publisher of the Wall Steet Journal.

So the translation of all this is, we're going to sell companies and mess with people lives so we can buy a bigger company and mess with even more peoples lives. And after we're all done we'll go into the boards bathroom and play with ourselves.

150 - Car insurance stuff

Read an article today about someone that got hit for $200,000 in medical bills because they didn't have UNDERinsured motorists insurance. Not uninsured, underinsured. The guy that hit them had insurance, just not enough to cover all their medical bills. So they're on the hook for the rest of the bills with the only option of suing the drunk driver for the rest of their bills. Good luck with that.

I checked with my insurance guy and found out that I do have underinsured motorists insurance. It costs about $10 for 6 months. It's one of those things you get and forget you have it. Then you see a story like this and think, "I better check and make sure I've got this."
