5453 - π


It's π day! I've been saving these memes all year and I almost forgot about today!





















For the nonmath people - i 8 sum pi.




Last line on the letter - "Furthermore, pi is not equal to 3.11 so this error would disqualify your attempt."






I'm going to have to remember this. I hate this question.











This is called pieces of pi. I don't know why.








And then... today being 3-14, and St. Louis' area code being 314, St. Louis has decided to have a 314 celebration without talking about pi! I'm going to have to do something about this... next year.

    My odd facts desk calendar tells me that Ultimate Pi Day took place on March 14, 1592, at 6:53 AM and 58 seconds: 3.14159265358. Sounds right.

    @Bilbo,
    for you US folks that would have still been on the Julian calender; you didn't change calenders until 1752. Only catholic central Yurp would have changed by then.

    Bill - That's how many digits of pi I can recite. For some reason, more digits just don't stick.

    Deb - Apple crumb or peach crumb pi.

    These are a lot of fun. Love the room 314 doorway with the numbers curving down the length of the door. Very inspired! I wouldn't know if they're the correct numbers but that doesn't matter. The good laugh is enough for me! Thanks!
