Do you like maps? Well here's access to a bunch of them. Even topo maps. It's a site called GeoHack.
The main screen is pretty basic so I'm showing a screen with St. Louis on it. The URL for this is https://geohack.toolforge.org/geohack.php?params=38_37_37_N_90_11_57_W
See the list in the left hand column? It goes on and on. It covers a lot of the world. This is one of those sites that can keep me busy for days just looking at areas. Find your house and see what the elevation is.

A rabbit hole to get lost down...
ReplyDeleteSue - Absolutely!
ReplyDeleteI can find my house via google earth and anyone else's too, so I'll give this site a miss.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen so few people at a Cardinals game.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check this out when I have time to chase rabbits.
ReplyDeleteI'm only interested in maps to find out where I need to go.
ReplyDeletewhy?
ReplyDeleteRiver - You can verify that google earth is correct 20 times over.
ReplyDeleteSimmons - Those were the good old days for me. I was a telephone repairman downtown when Busch Stadium II was there. When I worked on Sundays I would go to the stadium. It was me and one security guard there. I would walk around and around checking the 70 payphones that were there. I would usually find 5 to 10 that needed fixing.
John - It's map heaven.
Deb - I always check a map before I go somewhere.
Peg - Map OCD! You know about OCD... right?
It's a map-a-palooza!
ReplyDeleteAwesome - thank you!
ReplyDeleteKathy - Absolutely!
ReplyDeleteJenny - Map your heart away!
I have enough things to waste time on while the weather is nice, thanks. I'll save this one for winter.
ReplyDeleteThat is interesting! I often look up maps online when I'm planning to go somewhere. That's pretty much it.
ReplyDeleteNeat-0!
ReplyDeleteBill - Put this on your to-do list.
ReplyDeleteMartha - I always want to have a picture of where I'm going from a map.
Cloudia - I imagine it's hard for you to get lost and need a map.
