5608 - Mirror on the outside

Well this is interesting. Why didn't our Canadian friends tell us about this? If anyone needs to unwind in a shipping container in the middle of the woods, here ya go!

  1. Sue - It's definitely different. And perfect for the introvert.

  2. Mike, imagine if whilst the geezer was giving us the tour of the cabin he`d walked into the bedroom area and said: "And here we have the fairly luxurious sleeping arrange-girl-ts which comes with an added bonus that very few people will be able to resist, a truly incredible 17 year-old Pauline Hickey 'look-a-like/clone/exact-replica' to cater to even the most idiosyncratic and debauched of heterosexual needs, desires, perversions, and proclivities". Now thats what you'd call a major selling point ! ! !.

  3. I don't like it. I'm sure it appeals to some, but that big open window so anyone hiking the trail can see you in your bed? Hopefully it has a blind or something that can be closed. I wouldn't want to wake up and see a bear watching me sleep.

  4. I think I've found a way to put up the shed the HOA won't let me have.

  5. Wow, that is so cool! I'd stay there! The only thing I question is the outdoor Yeti cooler. That would attract bears and other wildlife.

  6. I love the idea, but it would have been nice if they had put some type of film on the window so you couldn't see inside.

  7. I'd need room for my crafts and a bigger fridge. Since it's fairly invisible, I wonder how many creatures have been romping through the forest, minding their own business, then BAM! they romp right into it.

  8. LJ - I couldn't afford that option.

River - It has a blind for the big window.

Bill - That was the first thing that crossed my mind too. This could be HOA proof.

Deb - I thought about that too. I don't think there is such a thing as a bear-proof cooler.

Kathy - I'll bet one-way glass could be an option.

John - Something for the back of your lot.

Shirley - It's made out of steel which isn't as reflective as glass and it has markings all over it to warn animals and birds. That the dots you see in the picture. They are actually small plus signs.

  9. I am not sure I am digging the window either.

  10. Shaw - It's somewhere in Canada.

Lady - Pull the shade down or get them to install a one-way window film.

  14. That looks pretty cool. I liked the explanation at the end that birds won't fly into it.

  15. Mark - A new house you can build facing the ocean.

  16. That is pretty amazing! I don't know if I'd stay there but it is a cool idea.
