95 - Sleet

St. Louis has been under a 24 siege of rain and sleet. I don't know how I'm going to get to work tomorrow. Oh wait! I'm retired! I don't HAVE to go to work tomorrow! HA!

94 - Seattle

I was in Seattle for a few days on a short vacation with family. We stayed at a downtown hotel. Downtown Seattle was bustling. It was fairly well kept up and seemed safe. There were lots of things to see and do. I can recommend going there if your looking to take a trip to somewhere you haven't been before. And considering I don't like to travel that's saying a lot.

Some of the things we did were:
Flight museum (plus Da Vince exhibit)
Space needle
Electronic music project
Science museum (plus Dead sea scrolls exhibit)
The Pike (market/shopping area)

Plus on the way back to the airport we stopped by Jimi Hendricks grave/memorial in the city of Renton.

91 - 2D:4D digit ratio

Specifically, it is the ratio of the length of the index finger (digit 2, or "2D") and the ring finger (digit 4, or "4D") that is sexually dimorphic. Generally, males have a ring finger that is longer than their index finger. Females typically have index and ring fingers of about the same length. The ratio of index finger length to ring finger length is called the “2D:4D digit ratio,” or more simply, the “digit ratio.” Manning reports that, for males, the index finger is generally about 96 percent of the length of the ring finger, which gives an average digit ratio for males of .96. The digit ratio would be 1.00 if the ring and index fingers were the same length, and greater than 1.00 if the index finger was longer than the ring finger. Males generally have a digit ratio below 1.00 -- they have what is termed a "low digit ratio." Women generally have a digit ratio of about 1.00 (the index and ring fingers are of about equal length), or a "high digit ratio."

I was in Los Angeles the past weekend staying with friends. Their house is a few houses away from the Batman house that was in the original movie. I saw a little bit of the front of the house. It's hard to see through through the front gate and all the vegetation.

So Bush for the first six years says he has a "mandate" from the people for his policies. (a 51% to 49% "mandate") So what happens the day after the Dem's win 51% to 49%? He fires Rummy and tries to start making nice with the Democrats.

This country is still polarized down the middle. Hopefully the Democrates don't mess up their opportunity to bring things back into balance.
