5311 - Biggest Fast Food Chains in the World 1920 - 2020

Here's a fun animated graph on the race to the top of fast-food chains. There are several of these graphs on Youtube so I'm not sure of the accuracy of these numbers.

Here are the latest numbers from Feb2020 from Wikipedia. Guess who's back on top.

  1. I don't remember when I last ate any of their 'offerings'.

  2. Sue - I visit quite a few of them. I dislike preparing food. And the faster food is ready, the better.

  3. McDonalds, Chipotle, and Subway are all in our neighborhood. We prefer Popeyes and Five Guys, but they're more expensive and just inconveniently farther away. Nevertheless, we prefer to do our own cooking most of the time.

  4. Bill - We have a Jack-in-the-Box and Panera's within walking distance. Then McDonalds, Steak & Shake, and Subway are close. We also go to Pasta House and Longhorn.

  5. Merkin imports such as McD and Subway are both at least 20 kms away.
So we're grateful for that ;-)

  6. Stu - I might starve to death without fast food. (Probably not. But you never know.)

  7. It's been four years since I last had fast food (unless you count fish and chips (2 in the last year)). 😁

  8. CC - Have you lost any weight?

  9. Mike- about 10 lbs but that's probably due to increased walking. (Would be more but trips to the pub don't stop 😁).

  10. An egg McMuffin from starving in a strange city

  11. Cloudia - I've had a few of those.

CC - Without getting into too much detail, it's the calories that really matter, not exercise.
