There are billions of people and a version of normal to go along with each one of them. No two versions are exactly the same. There will be hundreds of thousands of little things that make up your version of normal. With any luck you can find people that have close to the same idea of what normal is that you do. These are your friends. Anyone else you try to tolerate as best you can.

5364 - Yellow Mountains, China
The Wikipedia site says there are 60,000 steps on the trails. That probably
doesn't count the boards.
Update - video at the end. Watch the guy as he unhooks both safety straps at the same time as he works his way along the ledge.
When in my 20s I hiked the Grand Canyon. I did it because I had a crush on the guy who "planned" this venture. (He didn't do anything really to plan it. I had no idea what I was in for). I invited a friend. We struggled and practically crawled as she damned me for inviting her. I got no time with my crush, who practically finished approximately 6 hours before I did. I did get intense soreness throughout my body.
Not to brag, Mike, but I didn't take 60,000 steps. I took more like 180,000, because my stride is so small. Never again.
Some stupendous views - but those stairs are beyond me. And some of them would have me clinging to the walls.
