I just saw Bryan Stevenson on PBS. I'd never heard of him. He's a great talker. I thought there must be something on Youtube that he has done. Yep. A TED talk. This is a 24 minute video that will be over before you know it.

The video doesn't play so I began reading the transcript, but gave up, I don't know how far I got into it, just past the number of people in prisons.
I just tried it. It took a minute or so to load and start playing.
He wrote an excellent book - Just Mercy - which was also made into an excellent movie.
Incredible how this was filmed in 2012 and yet here were are almost 14 years later and these problems of injustice and racism are the worst they have been in my lifetime.
Bryan started EJI Equal Justice Initiative. The are responsible for The Legacy Museum, which deals with the terror blacks endured with slavery. Associated with it are:The National Memorial for Peace and Justice plus the Freedom Monument Sculpture Park. I strongly encourage to go down to Montgomery, AL (yeah, not practical, but look online.) He's written a couple books. He is a lawyer who tried(s) to get death penalty convicts retried if innocent. Great man ! Please investigate more with some of your interns time.
Thanks for this site. Gawd I love the jokes and folks who leave comments, Peace.
