The newspaper today says that Mike Devlin was a quiet loner. When he was a high schooler he was over weight and picked on. Now 15 to 20 years later he kidnaps two kids.
What I can't understand is why he didn't go to our public health care system to get help. OH WAIT!!!! We don't HAVE a public health care system. Well why didn't he buy his own health insurance? I mean when your making $21,000 a year you would think spending half of it on health care wouldn't be a problem.
Oh well, let's just fix him the good ol' conservative thinking way. Let's just kill him and move on to the next problem. But before we kill him we'll tell him we're sorry we have to do this but he gave us no choice.

Exactly. And our system is not set up to deal with these people. The system has a lock'em and throw away the key mentality.
With all the medical advances that are at our disposal, you could give these guys a choice. Normal jail time, or, while in jail, participate in brain studies to find out what's driving their compulsion to do what they do.
