The church from the pictures yesterday was at the castle complex. You can see the church in the background in this picture which was taken on the Charles Bridge. It stands out at the top of the hill. How do you get up there? Walk.
(click on any of the pictures to blow them up)
We walked up the streets the first time we went there. I didn't take pictures going up but sure did coming down. I wanted to remind myself of our feat. This picture was taken from the top of the walk.
Starting down the hill.
A little further down.
Around the hairpin turn.
A better shot of the turn.
About half way down the street you turn off and continue down. It levels off a little around the corner to the left by those houses with the tile roofs you can see.
The second day we decided to try the stairs. A short cut. You come at them a couple of blocks further down the hill in the fifth picture. We were a little more than half way up the stairs when I shot this picture back down the steps.
And here's the shot from the same spot up the steps.
Here's the shot from the top looking down. Notice you can't see the bottom from the top.
And yes those are houses in the middle of the steps. No other way to get to them except up or down the steps.

More gorgeous pics :)
I'm enjoying your photos. Looks like you and Claudia had a great trip.
I'm trying to make vacation pictures as interesting as possible. If only we had managed to go to the torture museum!
after all of the hill climbing and step walking--take Claudia to Ted Drewe's, you two deserve it!

OK...maybe I can't visit Prague until Aaron is much much older. He's surely ask me to carry him up and down those stairs now!
Lovely lovely photos. I had heard it was beautiful there but never imagined it looked like this!
J - Sounds like a good idea.
A - The people that live here navigate these hills and stairs like they were nothing.
Wow, great pictures! And imagine how in shape i would be if I was navigating those things all the time!
Have a great day!
