Just another reminder about the public option that may not happen.
Never pass up an opportunity to bash Rush.
Remember this?
It lead to this -
The liberals have been their own worst enemy for awhile. I think the conservatives have finally passed them up.

The "Goldman Sacks" and the Rush cartoons are both in my collection...classics.
What Rush actually says is this: He wants America to succeed, and for Obama's policies to fail. To me, there's a clear difference, like the difference between "tea partier" (a popular movement) and "teabagger" (an obscenity). Try this: The next time you don't agree with someone, try attacking the argument, NOT the person making the argument. Ad hominem attacks are logical suicide bombs: in the end they never work, and they are self-destructive.
When most of what we have to go on in terms of character about public figures like Rush is their multiple failed personal relationships, why anyone listens to them is totally illogical.
Claudia: Gosh, to me "three divorces" says "optimist" :) Note that the divorces were apparently amicable, as was a recent romantic breakup, and one marriage lasted ten years. If there is a causitive relationship between "one long, successful personal relationship" and "good character", then what does that say about Adolph Hitler and Genghis Khan? Actually, there is no relationship, no correlation and certainly no causation, between personal relationship success and character, or whether or not a person is worth listening to. So, I claim your argument is the one that is illogical. I urge you, and everyone who shares your views, to do some research into opposing views, do some reading, do some listening, do some thinking. Uncomfortable, perhaps, but these are uncomfortable times.
B - Beat you on a couple at least. Doesn't happen very often.
BC - "difference between"
That's what makes the last cartoon so freakin' funny.
C - We've been married once for 33 years. We must be doing something wrong.
BC - "Actually, there is no relationship, no correlation and certainly no causation, between personal relationship success and character"
That's what the liberals said about Clinton. Are you a closet Liberal?
Logical vs illogical. Breck, you've been a programmer too long. You can't apply logic to the human mind. It will drive you nuts trying to make it fit.
Mike: Well, yes, the "Teabagging 4 Jesus" is hilarious on several levels, I must admit. And the others, too... perhaps I am like CNN, fact-checking an SNL skit, I need to come up for air once in a while :)
Claudia: And I've been happily married for 38 years, congratulations to us all... though I am still not sure what you're getting at, how it applies to listening to Rush.
Mike: Clinton's sex life wasn't the point... except possibly the part about exploiting a junior employee (and not paying for the dry cleaning). Putting that aside, however, the REAL point was Clinton, as POTUS, repeatedly lying under oath... or does personal honor and integrity not matter any more?
About logic: I believe that logic does apply to matters of national prosperity and security, which is what we're actually talking about. Or, it's what Rush talks about five days a week.
Oops, my comment "Claudia: And I've been..." was misdirected to you... it was something Mike said. I'm not very good at this blogtweeting :)
The Rush one made me giggle.
I wish someone would pay that windbag to go away...far far away...
Aren't the Russians working on something to take man to mars? Maybe he could go first? With Oprah.
Teabagging for Jesus!!
HA!!
M - excellent idea
C - If she only knew.
