1021 - Times Square

Times are different. I would have never thought of doing something like this when I was my daughters age (30). Her and a high school friend flew to New York to be in Times Square at midnight. Another friend that lives in Memphis flew in and met them there. Another friend that lives in Phoenix flew in also.

So there's four crazy girls wandering around Times Square right now. And probably for hours more. I'm counting the hours until they get back on Saturday.

I just left a comment on mistresses site. The date popped up - 01/01/10. It's a binary day!

There are only 10 kinds of people in the world--those that get binary, and those that don't.

Is it still called Times Square? The Chinese haven't bought it yet? I thought it was now Tienanmen West. Hope your daughter and her friends had a good time and get home safely. And that your tanta gets over being punted.

Corinne just called and they are all fine, getting ready to go out and see if they can get some Broadway show tickets. It's amazing--she and Adrienne (the surgeon from Memphis) have known each other since Kindergarten; she and Holly (physical therapist from Phoenix) have known each other since middle school; and Shelly (fashion designer from St. Louis) and she met in 9th grade. How many of us old folks have achieved our dreams and kept friendships so well with people we've known that long? Look what we can learn from our kids.
