I usually don't do sports posts. Today is an exception.
20 - That's how many innings it took the Cardinals to lose a baseball game. 20 freakin' innings. How many chances did they have to win? Too many to count. They actually deserved to lose. After the Mets pratically hand them the game over and over and over and over .... well you get my drift.
OK we did get to see some really good defensive plays. That's because ....... they played 20 freakin' innings!!!!! The last out was a gift from God. Thank you God it's over was all that was left to be said at out 3 in the bottom of the 20th!
And just for fun you can go look at POST 367. I'm still getting hits on this post from two years ago. I had to update it.

I agree totally. La Russa lost the game by his stupidity. We had the bases loaded 3 times and on 2 of them had a relief pitcher come up to bat. THEN had to have a bench player pitch 2 innings. The 3rd baseman also pitched an inning then went back to 3rd.
