1190 - Recalls

Here's something that should get more press but doesn't, recalls. I found this article talking about a cereal recall and a mouthwash recall. Both minor recalls but still worth knowing about.

Kellogg recalls smelly cereal, P&G recalls Scope

Kellogg Co. issued a voluntary recall on 28 million boxes of cereal, citing "uncharacteristic off-flavor and smell" that it blamed on package liners.

The recalled brands are Corn Pops, Honey Smacks, Froot Loops and Apple Jacks and were sold nationwide. Affected boxes have the letters "KN" printed before expiration dates, which range from March 26, 2011 through June 22, 2011.

Proctor & Gamble Co. recalled about 35,000 bottles of Scope mouthwash, citing faulty child-resistant caps.

So I'm thinking there has to be a recall site, right! Yes you would be right. It's pretty simple. http://www.recalls.gov/ But if you don't go there you don't know. Because I'm sure all the stuff that winds up on this site doesn't show up in the media depending on what other news is happening that day.

I also put a link on the sidebar here. Andrea, do NOT go to this site. We'll let you know if there's anything you have to worry about.

Oh, and then just for fun I was looking at a few other recalls and found this -
June 03, 2010 - Defibtech Announces a Voluntary Recall of DBP-2800 Battery Packs used in the Lifeline AED® and ReviveR AEDTM.

Yeah, a defibrillator battery recall. I hope all the right people saw this one.
