Here we are on the tour boat getting ready to leave the dock on Lake Mead looking at the private boats on the right.
Here's all the cars of the poor people affected by the economy. They're probably just sitting on their boats because they can't afford gas.
Here's looking left at the private boats.
Here's the first look at the top of Hoover Dam. Notice the water line (white rock). That's how far the water levels have dropped in the last 10 years. Too bad we couldn't divert some of the summer rains from the Midwest and East. I think we could fill the lake twice over.
A closer look at the top of the dam and the new bridge. The bridge is supposed to speed up traffic. Not because of the winding roads, but because homeland security checks cars and trucks going over the dam. It's like being at the airport.
Here's a look back across the lake.
Back at the dock, people feed fish that hang around. And the fish hang around.
Someone had just thrown in a handful of popcorn. The picture really doesn't capture the churning water as the fish fight for the food.
Just curious, how many people have done the Lake Mead thing already?

Are those carp? In PA...there's a hatchery at Pymatuming State Park and OMG those fishies go crazy for bread!
MD - It's a combination of Carp, Catfish and Trout.
Did you do the Hoover Dam tour? The underground, inside-the-dam part is fascinating unless you're claustrophobic.
B - That's tomorrows post.
Those fish are BIG. Must have had too much popcorn.
