We got to the other side of the dam and I took this shot before we went down into the dam.
This is inside one of the power houses. 8 generators.
Back up top and a look over the edge. The power house directly underneath is the one we were in.
Just a nice framed shot of the dam. If you click it you can see the cars winding their way down the hill. The speed limit on the dam is 15mph. The security check point is up the hill to the right.
Last shot of the hotel.
Flying home with the sun at our back. Just where I wanted it.
And wouldn't you know. Today is Friday the 13th, on a Monday. Double bummer (for some people).

Great pictures! I have similar shots from our visit to the dam...it's a fascinating place to visit. And I really don't like Friday the 13th, no matter what day of the week or month it falls on.
A trip to the dam was included in two of my trips to Vegas, but I didn't go either time. I had too much money to blow, uh, win at the blackjack tables.
Maybe someday I'll go though because it seems like a cool trip.
B - The dam tour people have all these dam puns that they keep throwing out. Claudia asked how they got their dam jobs.
J - It's a day trip (about 10 to 5) on the tour bus.
We watched the History Channel's documentary on the dam on our way to the Grand Canyon. I haven't taken the dam tour but I'm sure that it would be very interesting.
J - Go in the spring or fall. The offical temp was 108. I think the dam thermometer said 115.
Hey! Didn't I visit here yesterday?
Anyway, great pictures. Thanks for posting. I don't know if I'll ever get to visit there.
A - Sometimes when a blog comes up the latest post is missing. When I know there should be a new post I hit the refresh button and it magicly appears.
