I hate to pick on somebody..... No I don't. Why this guy volunteered for this story is beyond me. "Hey, look what I did! Nothing! Ain't it great!"
What nothing did he do? Save any money for retirement. I know he wasn't making much. I mean who can save anything on a measly hundred thousand a year? He gets laid off and has a whole $5000 in savings. If you want to read more about this guy and other people like him you can go HERE.

OK. On top of saving for Aaron and Adrian, I'm going to need to remember about saving for my old age....When am I going to get the reminder to splurge on a luxury holiay?
I have my retirement problem solved. I'll never retire. Cheers Mike!!
If only I made $100,000 a year...
let me kick that guy
I see stories like this all the time. NY Times has done several stories on the real victims of the recession: The Wealthy!
Yeah, 'cause we needed something else to depress us in January.
Retirement is covered. It's the years before retirement that create havoc.
A - Kids first. Savings next. Left over.... HA!
MM - That's one solution to the retirement problem.
MD - In the nuts. Over and over and over.
J - You mean you don't feel sorry for this dumbsh.... poor unfortunate guy?
LET - Nothin' like startin' off the new year on an up note.
Wait, I've never made even half of his annual income but I have more saved for retirement then him and I'm still in my twenties. How did this person get a good job with no common sense?
