1401 - Driving test

Here's a 20 question written driving test from an insurance company. You can take the test without filling out your name and email. I got a 90 on it. I'm going to make some more comments in the comment section. I don't want to put them here because I don't want to influence your answers.

1. A pedestrian is crossing your lane but there is no crosswalk. You should:
a. Make sure the pedestrian sees you, but continue driving
B. Stop and let the pedestrian cross the street

'A' is the right answer in Missouri. If a pedestrian is not in a crosswalk, the cars have the right of way.

16. Under most conditions what is a safe following distance?
A. 3 seconds

Actually it's the 2 second rule which gives you the one car length for every 10 miles an hour. The 3 second rule (or 4) is made up by insurance companies to try and save more money.

18. When you approach a traffic signal displaying a steady yellow light, you must:
B. Stop if it is safe to do so
c. Be prepared to stop

How do you 'approach' something that has a 4 second life span? You don't. And can you imagine the death and destruction if people started stopping at yellow lights?

In Malaysia, yellow lights mean speed up. Only kidding, they don't but thats how everybody uses it.

95...I picked that you could not get a ticket for tailgating. It's a given you get angry when you have a Jackwagon tailgating you.

On number one I think A is the correct answer in all states even though the car has the right away and the pedestrian could get ticketed. It has something to do with not killing people.

A - You're right. That's a universal law.

B - They want the right answer, not the real one.

D - I think you should get a discount.

K - We recently had an accident here where a car slowed down for a pedestrian and another didn't. She didn't die but she got pretty messed up.

MM - You'd be in big trouble if you were anything less.
