The Atlantic Highway (Atlantic Road, Atlanterhavsveien, in Norwegian) is a spectacular way that from the mainland coast, jumping from island to island, to reach Averøy on a fantastic journey through twisting bridges over the sea in impossible foreshortening. It is no coincidence that this road is the second most visited tourist destination in Norway.
Here's Norway.

Here's the area of Norway.

Here's a cool looking bridge.

Here's an aeriel view of part of the highway.

I wonder how clear this road is in the winter?

love the dog in the post below
what a sweetie
It is amazing, but I wouldn't drive it.
I'm sacred of heights. While it is a thing of beauty to look at I could not drive on it. I wonder if anyone ever fell off?
Ooooh...we are veterans of the road to Hana on Maui; I say we push the envelope and do this Norwegian Road, too!
trahel: contraction of the words travel and hell, which you often think go together when we fly.
B - I got this from Frank and you were on the sendee list. But I'll send it to you again. Don't forget to check your junk mailbax.
D - I'm putting this trip on my things to do later list.
Max is 15 years old and doesn't get excited about much of anything anymore.
J - I'd drive it if I didn't have to fly to get there.
RW - With the curve on a hill I'm sure somebody has taken a dive of that thing.
C - Take pictures so I can see where you went.
It is beautiful, but I would be too chicken shit to drive on it. You're kind of screwed if you get caught in a traffic jam. ;)
C - You mean you wouldn't rent a suped up motorcycle and run the whole road at full throttle?
Thats amazing but I think I need to wait about 20 years to go. To little boys, I'm sure one road is the same as the next.
A - I don't know. That's a pretty cool bridge.
