We don't need no stinkin' healthcare bill. Let the market decide..... who lives and dies. Here's an article about healthcare or lack of it.
State Farm Removing Retirees from Medical Coverage
BLOMINGTON, Ill (AP) — State Farm Insurance Cos. will remove many of its 28,700 retirees from its medical plan next year in a cost-cutting move.
The Bloomington-based company says it will instead help them find supplemental Medicare coverage and provide them with $200 a month to help.
State Farm also will make changes in the availability of retirement health care for current and future employees. People hired after this year, for instance, will have to pay for all of their own retirement medical insurance.
State Farm spokesman Phil Supple told The Pantagraph newspaper in Bloomington that growing medical claims have driven up the company’s health care costs for several years. He didn’t say how much the company expects to save.
The retirees have medicare right? Not if they're not 65 yet. So say you're 62 and you get your healthcare taken away. What chance do you have of getting affordable non preexisting condition healthcare for the 3 years before medicare kicks in? Probably zero chance. So there are going to be people without healthcare for 3 or more years that are retired from State Farm.
What's your options if it happens to you? By affordable healthcare. Good luck. Get another job that has benifits. Good luck. Marry somebody that has benifits. Good luck. Hope that the republicans don't screw up national healthcare anymore than they already have. Good luck.

As long as the Republicans are around, your best bet for health care is to not get sick. Or else stock up with horseshoes, rabbit's feet, and four-leaf clovers for all that luck you need.

Those god damned Republicans!
So many companies have been doing this. The company my mother is retired from dumped everyone off the prescription insurance this year onto Part D.
Kind of funny that an insurance company doesn't provide insurance for it's retirees though. Just like hospitals that don't. Which is even more ridiculous.
B - With all that luck stuff you should be set.
C - Do I detect a bit of sarcasm? Or not? I mean all nurses are democrats aren't they? With that helping people thing and all.
J - It's the new world order of the maximized bottom line.
