Yes that's right, I found a transplant story. Not any transplant story. An unusual transplant story. This is probably one of the easiest transplants you could possible do. Here's the first paragraph from the story in SLATE.
One day in 2008, Ruth, a Long Island teacher, walked into her doctor's office with a container of a relative's feces, lay down, and had her doctor pump the stool inside her. Ruth had been suffering for nearly two years with an intestinal infection called Clostridium difficile (Cdiff), which caused her to suffer from excruciating diarrhea. She had lost 20 pounds. Her hair was falling out. Friends asked if she had cancer.
That's right, a reverse enema. With somebody elses' ...... popie. Think of the possibilities. Somebody tells you your full of sh*t. You can say, "yeah, but it's not mine."
You can stop eating. Think of the money you can save. Your body will just suck the remaining nutrients out of.... you know.
And how about looking for a donor? How would you go about doing that? "Hey, could you sh*t in a bucket? I want to use it. No really I need it."
Now that I've made fun of this all I have to say is please please please God don't make me need this procedure.

now that's just weird
Now you just KNOW that this procedure wasn't covered by Ruth's health insurance, even though the company no doubt gave her a lot of ... uh ... trouble ... about it.
I've heard of explosive diarrhea, but I've never heard of implosive diarrhea.
Who came up with the idea that this would work? Who did the study? Who donated the study material? It kinda smells like Congressional pork.
J - News of the weird. Video tonight at 5.
B - I never thought of the insurance angle of it. Wouldn't that be an interesting conversation.
G - Gives new meaning to the term 'suck it up'.
B - You're right. I think it needs further study. Now all we need is volunteers.... Hey Bandit....
What a shitty medical problem to have.
Ewwww......I hope I don't get this.
J - Exactly!
A - You and me both. I know someone that had Cdiff and it took her a month to get over it.
