I found this link in my 'things to post later' file. I'm looking and looking trying to figure out why I saved this link. Then these pictures scrolled by...
The sewer...
A guy getting hosed off.
And then I remembered. It's for my 'so you think you've got a bad job' post. The guy in the picture getting hosed off had just come out of the sewer. Here's a snippet from the post.
In India, and somewhat unique to that country, employers still use human beings as tools to clean the sewers of large cities or to clean out open latrines in the countryside or to sweep human feces from cement slabs that people use to relieve themselves in areas of the country where toilets don’t exist. These jobs are given only to the lowest caste in India who have been called “untouchables.”
So next time you're thinking your job is bad, take out a copy of this picture and take a deep breath, of fresh air.

I believe the people who carry out this job on board ships are hosed off on the poop deck.
Ugh! I won't complain -- ever.
Ugh! I won't complain -- ever.
And probably the only thing good about the water that they're using to clean him is that it's flowing and slightly cleaner than the filth that's on him.
At work, on break, in AC, personal laptop, Union Wi-fi connection, think I'll go get a cold soda.
Yeah, it's a tough job.
No lunch at Hooters or
Panera for him.
B - Now I'm going to have to look up why it's called that.
EPT - You're stuttering.
J - At home, retired, in AC, goofing off.
E - I don't think they would even let him clean out the bathrooms.
I like my job. No latrine orderly duties.
