I have to drive through Tenn. with out-of-state plates. I wish I could have Tenn. tags then to blend into the surroundings.

Some parts of Mississippi and New Jersey can be scary too.

Angel - I'm sure Tennessee isn't alone in this scheme.

Heidi - You can maybe see them questioning 22k. But cash is not illegal. And at the end of the story they mention 1 and 2 thousand dollar thefts.

This is actually legal in most cities. The law was designed to take cash off drug deals and then make them show up at the US Attorney's office to claim it. But, like most other laws in this country, it's been very badly abused by police.
