Well I took several of these...
and reconfigured one of these.....
And then I had a little adventure with a new TV stand. We bought it from a closeout store. I brought it home and should not have put it together but did anyway. It had a broken shelf out of the box. But I thought, just order a new shelf and swap it out when it shows up. And who knows how long that will take with a Made in Vietnam label on the box.
So I sent an email with all the supporting documentation on a Saturday. I called them (Powell furniture) on Monday to see if the email was received. The guy says nope, no email. Call back on Wednesday or Thursday. I call on Wednesday. The gal says nope, no email but I'll check into it and get back to you.
So Thursday I call and the gal says 'I'm still waiting for a call back'. I.e. I got the same gal I talked to the day before. So I'm thinking instead of customer service, I'll call parts and see what they say. So I hit option 2 for parts instead of 1 for customer service. THE SAME GAL ANSWERS THE PHONE!
Well she called back a few hours later to tell me there were no parts available and to take the stand back to the store. I was sort of expecting that since it was closeout merchandise but it took them a week of trying to duck me to find that out. And the store had me just bring the stand back put together and gave me a new one to put together. 'After' they opened the box and checked all the parts.

I am so impressed that you built yourself a new puter
An amazing feat! Congratulations, Mike!
Dianne - I wish it worked that way. I'm just glad they didn't want the original stand disassembled and in the box.
Angel - I was impressed with myself. Mainly on the timeline. It usually takes me a lot longer to get projects this big done.
Mike you made yourself another computer? That is impressive. I have issues with blogger for heaven's sake!
We just put a new tv stand together and loved it. Then find out the satellite box doesn't fit in it. Oh it will sit on the shelf but you can't close the door. I thought Rick was going to have a fit. Instead he took off the door.
Made me laugh.
Peg - Nope, no new comptuer. Just a reconfigured and relocated network. But I have put plenty of computers together.
Again Rick proves there's a solution to every problem.
Excellent accomplishment. You have more nerve than I do.
Heidi - Thanks. Things like this get harder as you get older because you look at the project and think 'I just did this 15 years ago. I have to do it AGAIN?'
I'm glad you're back, and it was successful.
King - And for my next project.....
