FYI,
My throw away email got hacked. The bad thing is I don't check it that often. And when I do I don't look at the sent item folder.
Well Yahoo asked me if I had logged on from Peru for some reason. After the Peru log on there was another log on from Russia and Japan. So I got hacked from Peru and my email got traded around.
There were only about 15 outgoing emails from the hackers. And most of them were directing people to fox news. So I wasn't selling pills or anything like that.
So I changed my password. My old one was 11 characters but they were all lower case alpha. I now have some numbers in it. But the main thing is that the hackers are starting to guess at passwords longer than 8 characters. I felt safe before with a long password. No more.

I'm sorry about your account being hacked. It happened to me and I felt intruded upon. I hope you will be hackfree in the future.
Sorry 'bout that.
I am thankful I have yet to have this happen. Virius galore but no real hacking. you're just so much more interesting than me.
Reminds me of the joke:
During a recent password audit at our company, it was found that a blonde receptionist was using the following password:
MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofySacramento
When asked why she had such a long password, she said she was told that it had to be at least 8 characters long and include at least one capital!
It seems like Yahoo is the easiest email to hack. I don't know too many people who use it who haven't been hacked.

Angel - It's not that I used that email much. It's just the principle.
Peg - It was my first hacking experience. It was not good for me.
John - I like that password. I may use it.
Jay - Maybe that's why they have alerts now.
It's good to have a throwaway account for that eventuality. My hotmail account has been hacked, I cannot longer use it.
My main Hotmail got hacked and "I" sent Viagra discounts to all my friends and family. Hotmail shut my account and sent a unhack my account link to a recovery email I have no recollection of ever having...of course that goes for the password, too. Sigh.I feel ya...
Beryl - I think I have a few unknown emails out there also.
I have become the king of very long passwords full of capital letters, small letters, numbers, and "special characters." Of course, I can't remember any of them ...
Bilbo - And don't forget, don't write them down for security reasons. Oh and change them every month.
