A number of previous studies have linked narcissism with Facebook use, but this is some of the first evidence of a direct relationship between Facebook friends and the most "toxic" elements of narcissistic personality disorder.
It's not a long article. Just long enough to be introspective.
And just in case you haven't been keeping track, 3/4ths of 2012 is gone. But it's still 39 looooong days until the election is over.

Facebook is a fact of life. It good that researchers are looking into possible harmful effects of excessive use.
A nice note on homosexuality and Indians.
Morbid or excessive use of Facebook may also be linked to hysterical personality disorder or some patterns of agressiveness. Internet trolls come to mind.
I know of a few fights (not physical) that came out of Facebook remarks.
I am the only person I know without a FB page. I'm holding out - there must be some prize for that no? :-)

I don't have a Facebook page -- not having one is a good start in flying under the radar.
Some people use Facebook as a place to be bitchy on.
This is going to be a long 39 days. And they haven't really begun to ramp up here. Sigh.

Lizbeth - The ads have been getting more frequent here in the last couple of weeks.
I hate facebook. Pretty much all I do on there is lose games of Words With Friends and click "like" on my friends photos. Oh and wish people happy birthday.

Jay - I avoid facebook games like the plague. Seems like you can't sign up for one without giving the game all your personal information.

Dianne - I remember seeing the two spirits theme in movies over the years. I can't think of any specific movie as the theme was always just a small side bar in a few movies.
