I assume you've all heard of Todd Akin. The crazy Senate candidate from Missouri running against Claire McCaskill. Well what got him in the national press was comment number 1 on this list. But here are his top ten (from the McCaskill campaign).

Since I lived in West Berlin back in the early 1980's, when the city was encircled by a wall and the East German authorities shot to kill their citizens who tried to flee over, under, or around the "Anti-Fascist Protective Rampart," I think I know a little bit about how governments threaten freedoms. Mr Akin is a world-class, bottled-in-bond, dyed-in-the-wool, gold-plated, 24-karat, 100% pure moron who shouldn't be elected to any office more significant than Dog Catcher. And that would be an insult to dogs. The man is a gross embarrassment to America.
Mr Akin should go on the Comedy Tour with Larry the Cable Guy.
