The following is a sketch that describes how I see a lot of cable TV shows. A real good example is the History Channel. Trying to watch the History Channel on Netflix drives me nuts. It actually needs the commercial breaks so the show makes more sense. Otherwise it's just an announcer repeating a 10 minute story line over and over again.
And then speaking of cable TV vs real TV, real TV may be losing out in the long run. Probably not while I'm alive but the future looks bleak for real TV. From an article...
But AT&T is not slowing down its lobbying efforts when it comes to pushing the FCC to auction more spectrum. The company has supported the FCC's efforts to free up more spectrum by asking TV broadcasters to give up spectrum that can be auctioned next year in the FCC's first incentive auction.
And we all know when there's money involved who comes out on the losing end of things.

That sketch really shows us that watching tv is wasting even more time than we initially thought it was wasting.
This is so funny and sadly so true.
Amanda - TO fill all the time, they have to keep repeating the same thing over and over.
Peg - I know.
I love The History Channel. "Swamp People" is my favorite show.

Jay - But you watch it with the commercials, right?
I'm a fan of the History Channel too.
Duck - The history channel stuff on Netflix just drives me crazy. They seem like 10 minutes of information drug out over 45 minutes of show.
There's a lot of padding on cable channels. Many are unwatchable.
