Swat team in St. Louis. Right down the street! I think the house is the one circled in red but I'm not sure. It's a house that is about a 30 second drive away.
Supposedly it's a domestic dispute. Only one person in the house so no hostages. But the swat team is staging down at the other end of the street. A little overkill? We'll see.
But the really interest thing about this is some of the news stories posted already. One station has the street name wrong. They've listed a street miles from here.
Another station interviewed someone named "Jincey Huch". Guess what. No such person exists. Not on the real estate records or personal property records OR on the internet, period. So someone made up a name and said they were a neighbor.
But what's really interesting is the lack of coverage. I happen to see this on one station on the 6pm news. I checked a few others and there was no mention of it. Then at 10pm there was no mention at all on any station. I guess since there is no hostage it's not newsworthy.
My son has a friend that lives right across the street. He's stuck in his house. He has posted a few comments on facebook but not enough to know what's going on. .... Well I just checked his facebook page again and it seems he snuck out the back of his house and got a ride to a local bar.
If I see something later I'll post an update in the comments.
UPDATE....
From the news..
Police said they were attempting to serve an Order of Protection.
Police said the subject of the protection order then ran from officers, made threats to harm others and then barricaded himself inside. Police said at that point St. Louis County Police Department’s Tactical Unit responded to the home.
The unit said they attempted all efforts to get the suspect to surrender, but had to force entry and take the suspect into custody.
Police said no one was injured.
School's out. Decompression time.

Very interesting how they hsndle it.
Duck - Sometimes I wonder if the solution is worse than the problem.
Always fun to have excitement in the area right?
I'm glad it ended with no shooting.
Andrea - It's always something.
Angel - Me too. I think the SWAT team being there was a little overkill.
Does the police department have a bunch of new stuff for their SWAT team that they wanted to try out?
Kent - I saw an assault truck on TV I'd never seen before.
