2357 - Arsenic in drinking water

When most people think about arsenic in drinking water they think of Bangladesh. Bangladesh is the poster child for ground water arsenic.

But what about the good ol' USA? Do we have a ground water arsenic problem? Well (pun intended) it depends. It seems the EPA has been monitoring wells for awhile and with the help of the USGS has created a map of where some of the arsenic problems are. I don't think the map is all inclusive but I'm not sure.

There is an ARTICLE that goes with the map. (click it to big it)

I think it looks like some states participated more than others.

Our arsenic levels seem low, but a lot of the area has a problem with pollution.

It looks like it's bottled water of beer for a lot of people.
