2344 - Space

Well I watched 'Cosmos' last night. The first in a new series with Neil deGrasse Tyson on Fox. It looks like it's going to be an interesting series. And it falls right into something I found recently. A scale scrolling map of our solar system. Here's what you see after the first scrolling click to the right...

You may have to click the picture to make it big enough to read.

So it works by going on the bottom of the page on the almost complete right side and left clicking. You scroll past the Sun right away. And Mercury isn't that far away. 17 clicks from the start. When you get to Earth, look where the scroll bar is compared to the end. That's because the end is 1330 clicks from the beginning. It's a big solar system.

The creator of this will keep you busy with facts and funny stuff as you click along. So to start your journey go HERE

It really shows the utter immensity of space!

I found the show very confusing. He talked about things that happened on Earth like hundreds of millions of years ago, but the other day there was a flyer left on my door that says the Earth is only 6,000 years old.
