A locking system for people with OCD? definitely overkill.
It's very clever!
So, what's the point? Maybe I'm missing something, but I'll bet it would cost less to buy one padlock and six keys than to buy this entire system.
Bilbo - The only thing that I can think of is that if one contractor loses their access to the site for whatever reason, you just have them remove their lock and then don't have to worry about them having a key to your site.
This is overkill I think.
