I was a telephone repairman but I never had to work retail. I don't know if I could.
A job I would never want in a store.
I don't know if I could.
You can't fool me. It's the one on the right.
Nothing worse than being behind someone in line when they decide to FINALLY get out their checkbook and start filling out the check. Oh and don't forget the paragraph of information on the memo line.

It is true, as the Dothraki say.
Do people still use checks? What about people who pay for a latte with small change?
Speaking of small change, I was behind a lady at the grocery store with a balance due of $48+. She started bringing out coins. With quarters, dimes, nickles and some pennies, the clerk had to count out all that money. She cautioned her to go to the change machine next time. Really? The other really bad job is being in public service in a small town.
I Live number 3 daily.
My husband calls me Sybil. Because I'm so nice and smile to everyone but when they leave I'm venting. (or blogging about my venting)
Working retail would be really brutal. I couldn't do it because I would have to put up with people like me.

I have worked retail and it can be a frustrating experience. It helps to have the patience of a saint and the communication skills of a UN translator who is also a world class diplomat. And it helps to remember that half the people in the world are below average...
Some retailers are unfailingly nice and pleasant. They deserve free beers.
