The combination of "we all have some capacity for evil" and "we're easily corrupted by power" is not very comforting.

The Milgram experiment was stressful for the participants; it emphasized the pitfalls of being overdisposed to obey authorities.
A great set of studies!
That self-esteem thing is important. Schools should work on that for the students more!
I always wonder who pays for these kinds of studies, although this is pretty interesting stuff. I agree that we don't always see what is right in front of us, and I would suggest that we overlook those closest to us by that same theory.
"Justifying experiences so they make sense to us..." Yep. Checkmark that one.
