3103 - Just do it
Well another one of my plans gets done by someone else. It seems someone else had the idea of making a solar system to scale just for fun. I thought about doing this in the St. Louis area as an art project by having the different planets in different parks. You would have to visit 10 parks to see the whole solar system. But my plan never got off the ground. Now a guy does this...

Now that's a large-scale project!
I remember visiting Pluto and the Sun in this solar system model when the kids were young.

The video is pretty cool.
That's a great lesson in astronomical scaling. The textbook illustrations make them seem closer than they really are.
