Well how much do you want to know about the way wikipedia is run? If you like wikipedia and don't want to rock that boat, then don't read this ARTICLE. It's on the medium length side. Plus there are some links at the end that can lengthen your stay.
I've donated money to wikipedia before. I don't know if that's going to happen in the future.

Wikipedia is entirely dependent on the truthiness of individual contributors. Some have axes to grind.
Wiki is full of information with a generous amount of misinformation. You just have to figure out which is which.
At one time, you could have gone to Wiki at looked up "slacker" to find a picture of a former co-worker (which was semi-factual)!
