Four or five days days ago it was 78 degrees in St. Louis. Tuesday night it was a little windy but still in the 40's. Wednesday we woke up to this...
(Credit to my daughter for taking a picture of her deck)
Even though it was snowing like crazy it was still above freezing. It was coming down to fast to melt. There were accumulations from 4 to 9 inches around the area.
My house looked pretty much like the picture above. But by the afternoon it was back into the 40's with the sun peeking in and out and most of the snow is..... GONE! I didn't shovel the drive or clean the car. It all just melted.
It's supposed to be back in the 60's by the weekend.

Pretty much like our experience here in NoVa. We had 21 inches of snow during Snowzilla, and now we're looking at temps in the 60s. Last night we had huge, fierce thunderstorms that brought a lot of damage to the area, although fortunately not to us. And we still have to survive March. Oy.
We've had slick streets in the morning due to snow and ice for several mornings here in Tennessee.
Snow that just stops by is my kind of snow.
It's pretty and then poof - gone!
We've had a roller coaster of temperatures this winter. Very unusual but perhaps a new trend for the future.
