3272 - Weekend

So it was a busy (for me) weekend. What did I do Saturday? Wait I have to think about this. Oh yeah. This was day number 'who knows' of my throw things away project. You know, look in cabinets, pull stuff out, think when was the last time I used this, or what is this. Then pitch it!

Then there are the papers/ receipts with too much personal info to just pitch. Shred shred shred shred...

So Sunday I notice that the limbs hanging on my electric drop wire have still not been removed by the electric company. I called the electric company last Tuesday after our half day snowmageddon. (snow in the morning, gone by the afternoon) I call them again. "Well get out there as soon as we can".

So I know the weather people are predicting a four day rain 'event' starting tomorrow. I need to get that stuff off my wire. So I'm cutting it down making bigger piles that I thought I would have, but I can't get it all from the ground. Time to go on the roof.

I need to get the ladder out of the garage. First let's move Claudia's car. Nope, the batteries dead. Get out the jumper cables, get her car going and out of the way.

Now I'm up on the roof trimming the last of the tree. Aaaaand the gutter is dinged. Well that's a future project. What else? Four roof tiles are broken off. So I go back down and get the caulk for a quick fix before the rain gets here.

Have you ever noticed when one project turns into two or three or four projects how much stuff is laying around when you're done? So it took awhile to pick things up and put away before I could take Claudia's car out for it's battery recharge drive.

I need to rest for four or five days before the next weekend gets here.

Weekends can be so busy! Yours was like that. Can you rest up during the week? Have a great week, anyhow!

Well, you obviously had too many projects on your to do list, Mike. And yes, they do lead to yet another project. It's never ending. We have a new house, and still have one project leading into another.
