3292 - Car colors

I'm back ... maybe ... sort of ...

The rock sand pun post yesterday was to good to pass up. So am I back? Sort of. I have gathered a few things for posts. But I'm still pretty busy with Claudia. When I'm in the basement on my computer one ear is always pointed upstairs. She still needs quite a bit of help. So I'll post if something jumps out at me.

That said, here is a ranking of the popular car colors. White, black, and silver/gray. The most popular since ever. I read where if you don't have one of those colors it drops your resale value by two to three hundred dollars.

What's my color? Blue. I think I've had more blue cars than any other color. Screw the resale value. White reminds me of the cars I used to drive for the phone company. My mind puts the blue and yellow stripes on white cars. So no white for me.

The color that I really like when I see it is candy apple red. It has a depth to it. But only when it's clean. That would be a problem for me. I like to let the rain wash my car.

My car is charcoal grey (it was Chris' old car).
Her car is bright red.

I'm a "let the rain wash my car" as well.
My neighbor can be seen hand washing his car a couple of times per week.
Chris takes her car to the car wash frequently.

My car is candy apple red! It gets to the car wash about once a month, whether it needs it or not.

We have to get our car washed often because of the pollution.

I've heard that the car colors have been basically the same for many years but they change the names every year to whatever the marketing department thinks will sell better. I used to have a gold car but the DMV decided it was brown; they had very limited choices for the registration. My current car is a deep blue. I drive white at work and would never get a white car for myself; it shows the dirt way too much.
