As I hang on to Windows XP I've had to give up on Google Chrome. Google quit supporting Chrome for XP and the longer it's been since their support stopped the slower and more bogged down Chrome has become.
So I downloaded Firefox. The last time I had looked at Firefox it was OK but not quite up to Chrome. Now it's almost exactly like Chrome and it's much faster. I was afraid I would lose all my bookmarks but they transferred over no problem.
Now all I have to do is see how long XP will hang in there on my 10 year old computer. Firefox is still supporting XP.
And then there was this Friday thing...

Like you, I like to hang on to the familiar.
I do webpages for some people (simple stuff) and I have to say that Chrome is messing with the interface while Firefox is fine. I can't figure out why...not that it matters, as long as I have options.

I did what you did for as long as possible. If I didn't need to use the computer for work I would still be using xp. Now I love windows 10 - but it was difficult as hell getting here.
