3600 - Kiiking

Kiiking. That's an Estonian word for swinging in case you wanted to know that first. It's swinging all the way over the top. Here's an example.



Of course the "chains" are not chain but some sort of solid poles. Otherwise those pauses at the top would end in an exciting drop straight down. Here's an ARTICLE if you want to read more about kiiking.

I could see myself trying this. I remember at the local county fairs they had swinging cages. You would get inside the cage and try and get the cage to swing over the top. I wonder if the internet has any videos of those? I'll be right back.................................. OF COURSE IT DOES!

I haven't seen these cages in person in a long time. I was pretty good at getting these to go around in circles many times in a row.
