There are billions of people and a version of normal to go along with each one of them. No two versions are exactly the same. There will be hundreds of thousands of little things that make up your version of normal. With any luck you can find people that have close to the same idea of what normal is that you do. These are your friends. Anyone else you try to tolerate as best you can. .... The exact definition of normal depends on who's running the asylum.

That's insane!
I would avoid that too!
That is really confusing!
I too hate round abouts and everyone has a differing opinion on who should yield to whom. There are two in my neighborhood and they are treacherous. I was always taught yield to those on your left. Apparently, others think something different. Now they are building a mound in the center which I can not see over so until the car on my left is right in front of me I can not see it. I avoid them and will drive completely out of my way
Roundabouts are okay if there are only a few roads to access them. If there are too many - chaos! Place d'Etoile in Paris is an example. Scary to be a passenger, much less a driver.
What a nightmare! They are good only for limited traffic. Once you reach a certain point, they are very counterproductive.
