3774 - Audio illusion

I read about this in an article about scary movies. This is used to raise tension in the scary parts.

Wikipedia - A Shepard tone, named after Roger Shepard, is a sound consisting of a superposition of sine waves separated by octaves. When played with the bass pitch of the tone moving upward or downward, it is referred to as the Shepard scale. This creates the auditory illusion of a tone that continually ascends or descends in pitch, yet which ultimately seems to get no higher or lower.

Did you listen to all five minutes? Are you on edge? Take a nap. A nap fixes everything.

That's pretty cool.
And yes, a nap!
Naps are a people reset -- like unplugging an electronic device and waiting a few moments before plugging it back in. It just takes a little longer with people.

I'm in a better mood after a min-afternoon nap.

Hey, Mike....just got back from a week in your neck of the woods, well in the Ozarks, and had such wonderful weather. Came home to rain in Texas! Still in the 90s, however.
