3802 - Music Wednesday
I ran across this song yesterday. I hadn't heard it in a long time but it came back to me instantly. I wondered why I haven't heard it on oldies shows. It might be because it's almost six minutes long. Not good for radio station play.
What's funny is I have no memory of the group, the Kings.
I may catch up on listening time by putting this on loop and letting it run while I surf the web.

Speaking as a one-time radio disc jockey, I can tell you that sometimes a six-minute song is a godsend ... like when you desperately need to go to the bathroom. I really hated Iron Butterfly's "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida," but at 17 minutes, it provided time for both a bathroom visit and a snack.
That's as long as "MacArthur's Park."
Good idea on looping it in the background. Must be such a great find for you.
I don't recall this song at all or the group. But I religiously watched American Bandstand. I give it a 6 because it's hard to dance to. :-)
That's a long song to dance to.
thanks!
