4066 - Memorial Day

It's been a few years since my son and I were with the scouts putting out flags at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

We would start out at the main parade ground with a ceremony. Then hike off to whatever part of the cemetery your troup was assigned, find the container with thousands of flags, then take an armload and start putting them out. 12 inches in front of the grave stone.

My Father and Mother (EE212) are buried there. Also a friend is buried there. No one that died in the service though.
