This happened to me yesterday.
I had a soda and was wandering around the house. I set the soda down. It took me 15 minutes to find it because I didn't remember going into that particular room. (I don't have to check in there. I wasn't in there.)

I checked at my place. You didn't leave the soda here. At least, I didn't find it while I was looking for mine.
Remember to look in the last place you'd look first. It saves me a lot of time.
