Mike said...: Juliette - Techies say the word data is plural. One bit is a datum. Two or more bits are data. So you can't say 'the data is ****'. You're supposed to say 'the data are ****'. I find it hard to say 'data are' being as old as I am and all my life saying 'data is'. 'Data are' gets stuck in my throat and won't come out.

So Data the Star Trek character, is he one Data, or multiple Data in one human form?
